FALMOUTH — The annual FACE Winter Brunch offers an opportunity for an enjoyable get-together to break up a cold season and a way to assist Catholic school students in the Fall River Diocese at the same time.

The year’s 15th annual Winter Brunch sponsored by FACE –the Foundation to Advance Catholic Education- will take place on Sunday, February 9, at the Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth, with doors opening at 11:15 a.m.

Guests will enjoy a classic Sunday Brunch featuring roasted meats, chicken, eggs, bacon, sausage, vegetables, salad selections, muffins, pastries and an extensive dessert bar. Along with delicious foods, there will be a fun-filled raffle and a special appearance by New England Patriots’ mascot, Pat Patriot, who will visit from noon to 2 p.m.

Host of the Winter Brunch will be Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., of the Fall River Diocese. Albert Makkay Jr. of Centerville and Gillian Lewis Milligan of South Dartmouth are serving as chairpersons for the event and Kevin Matthews of iHeart Media-Cape Cod will serve as emcee.

Proceeds from the Winter Brunch support FACE, which provides need-based scholarships to students attending Catholic schools in the Fall River Diocese including those on Cape Cod. In the current school year alone, FACE is providing $1.2 million in tuition assistance to 911students in diocesan schools.

Tickets for the Winter Brunch are $35 for adults; $15 for youth under 13 years and $5 for those under six. Sponsorship opportunities are also available at www.facewinterbrunch.org.

Seating is limited and reservations must be made prior to the event. No tickets will be available at the door. Please contact Jane Robin at jrobin@catholicfoundationsema.org or by phone at 508-380-7521 for tickets and further information. Registration deadline is February 1st.
