This year’s International Pilgrimage at the Shrine of Fatima in Portugal will be presided over by Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V, today and tomorrow and livestreamed simultaneously on YouTube and Facebook platforms.

At 4:30 p.m. EDT today, August 12, Bishop da Cunha will lead an opening prayer service that will include a procession and a blessing of pilgrims with lighted candles.

Tomorrow, Saturday, August 13, the Bishop will celebrate Mass outside the Shrine Basilica at 5 a.m. EDT.

Thousands of pilgrims are expected to participate in these events.

Anyone wishing to watch the Mass livestreamed from Fatima, which is set to begin at 5 am. EDT, may do so either via this link to the Fatima Shine’s Official YouTube page or their Facebook page, Santuario de Fatima.

Once the Mass is complete, it is archived on both platforms so those who want to watch the Mass at a later time may do so using the same links shared above.

Bishop da Cunha was invited to lead these liturgies that are part of the annual National Pilgrimage of Migrant and Refugees taking place at the Shrine August 12-13.

From May to October, on the 12th and 13th of each month, special pilgrimages take place in Fatima to commemorate the 1917 apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherd children. In August, the celebration is focused on immigrants and refugees.
