Portuguese Charismatic Conference Set for Sept. 11 & 12 Author: Diocese of Fall River In the News 20 Aug 2015 Share The Portuguese Charismatic Conference 2015, sponsored by the Fall River Diocesan Portuguese Renewal Service Committee, with the theme “UNITY ~ Father, may they be ONE,” will take place at the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette, Attleboro, Massachusetts, on Friday and Saturday, September 11 & 12, 2015: 1) Friday, September 11, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; 2) Saturday, September 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., concluding with the Eucharist by Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., celebrant and preacher, at 4:30pm. The Renewal Service Committee is pleased to welcome this year as special guest for the Conference their diocesan bishop, the Most Reverend Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., who will celebrate and preach at the closing Mass on Saturday afternoon. Other invited speaking guests are Walter Matthews, president of the National Charismatic Service Committee, and his wife Chaire; and Father Norberto Brum, from the Diocese of Angra do Heroísmo & Ilhas dos Açores, who is pastor of Santa Clara, Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores. The diocesan service committee will likewise extend a treasured collaboration. The entire program will be offered in Portuguese, excepting Walter and Claire’s contributions which will be translated in a resumed form into Portuguese. All are welcome and invited to participate in these sessions of teachings, inspiring music, praise, intercession and healing, and true and special encounters with Jesus the Lord. All will pray ardently to the Holy Spirit for a New Pentecost so needed in our Church today. Those who join in will be glad they did. Due to limited space, pre-registration is strongly recommended.
