Women’s Advent Retreat Planned for December 10 Author: The Most Reverend Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., D.D. In the News 22 Nov 2022 Share The diocesan Secretariat for the New Evangelization is offering a new opportunity for spiritual enrichment for women and women’s ministries in the upcoming holiday season: “Prepare the Way: A Women’s Advent Retreat” will take place on Saturday, December 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Corpus Christi Parish in East Sandwich. Planners of the retreat share that it’s being offered as an opportunity for participants to pause holiday preparations in order to adore Jesus like Mary did in the manger. Two dynamic speakers are on tap to lead the retreat, Allison Gingras and Liz Cotrupi-Pfunder. Gingras is a mother, Catholic media specialist, the founder of ReconciledToYou.com, and award-winning author with OSV and Ave Maria Press. Her newest book released this fall, Encountering Signs of Faith: My Unexpected Journey with the Sacraments, the Saints, and the Abundant Grace of God, tells the moving story of teaching the Catholic faith to her adopted daughter who is deaf, as she grew in her own relationship with God in the experience. Cotrupi-Pfunder is a Catholic musician, songwriter, evangelization consultant, and speaker who has been travelling nationally for the past ten years to help spread the love of Christ. The Advent retreat will include Morning Mass, keynote talks, time for discussion, adoration, opportunity for Confession, plus a continental breakfast and lunch. Cost is $15 per person. (Corpus Christi Parish is located at 324 Meeting House Road in East Sandwich.) PLEASE NOTE: THE WOMEN’S ADVENT RETREAT IS AT CAPACITY. REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT HAS CLOSED.
