Father of Bishop da Cunha Dies Author: Diocese of Fall River In the News 24 Jun 2015 Share Mr. Manoel Antonio da Cunha, the father of Fall River Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., passed away on Tuesday, June 23, in Brazil after a period of failing health. He was 91 years old and was surrounded by his family at the time of his death. Mr. da Cunha is survived by his wife of 68 years, Josefa, his 13 children (including Bishop da Cunha), 36 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 6 great, great grandchildren. His funeral and burial will take place in his hometown of Nova Fatima, Bahia, Brazil. All are asked to keep Mr. da Cunha, his wife, the Bishop and his entire family in their prayers.
